Visual arts are part of me, through them I have learned to see.

I respond to the beauty of objects, people and places,____

and the beauty of light, color, shapes, texture and contrasts.

I love the materials:

the blank paper excites me with its tint, quality, and potential.

I think better with a pencil in my hand, 

and drawing still feels like magic to me.

The pastel stick glides over the paper capturing

a subject in a few strokes.

The finesse of a watercolor brush fluidly describes a flower.

The scratch of the pen on cold press paper hatches the values of a shadow.

I love the fun of the process when all goes well, 

and the thrill of completing a piece.
