Eleven AM North Light

This still life was done from life using some of my favorite objects. I worked from the wonderful natural light in my studio, the wonderful, consistent north light. I worked on this piece for several weeks always beginning at 11 am and ending at about 11:30-11:45 am as the light began to change.
I had been working on numerous other projects from photographs and I longed to get back to the process of drawing from the real objects: observing, sighting, measuring, correcting, analyzing values, colors and textures from the beautiful objects in front of me. It was also rewarding to see this one evolve into the finished project.
